Osceola residents earn college degrees, honors

Congratulations to the following Osceola County residents who have earned college degrees, grade-point or service organization honors:

Amine Filali Boubrahmi of Kissimmee graduated with a MBA (Operations and Supply Chain Management Concentration) from Ohio University’s (Athens, Ohio) College of Business in Fall 2021.

Troy University recognized students who from its Troy, Ala. campus and with teaching sites outside of Alabama and online: Jalen Ray, Benjamin Anthony, Jessica George and Cassandra Paul of Kissimmee, and Joanie Cruz and Bonnibel Solis of St. Cloud.

Tallahassee Community College announced the following earned Fall 2021 Dean’s List honors: Paige Boone, Jeremy Gil and Brianna Guilbert of Kissimmee, Tori Ayala of St. Cloud and Jillian Randles of Davenport.

In addition, Michelle Gustafson of St. Cloud and Destani McEwan were named to TCC’s President’s List for earning a 4.0 GPA during the semester.

Sydney Kochensparger of St. Cloud, was named to the Clark University (Worcester, Mass.) Dean’s List for the Fall 2021 semester.

Cedarville (Ohio) University student Summer Lange from St. Cloud, FL, majoring in Computer Engineering, was named to the Fall 2021 Dean’s List.

Emily Ranieri, a Theatre major from ChampionsGate, was named to Biola University’s (La Mirada, Calif.) Dean’s List.

Henry Cartaya of Kissimmee, a sophomore majoring in Music Theatre. was named to the Dean’s List for the 2021-22 fall semester at Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, Ill.).

Justin White of Kissimmee is among 80 cadets named to The President’s List at The Citadel (Charleston, S.C.) for outstanding work during the fall 2021 semester. The President’s List is a combination of the Dean’s List and the Commandant’s Distinguished List, composed of cadets who contribute the most to their companies while maintaining excellent military and academic records. Approximately 30 percent of Citadel graduates earn commissions into military service.

Akanii Simon of Kissimmee, attending the Baylor University (Waco, Tex.) College of College of Arts & Sciences, was named to the Fall Dean’s List and received his Bachelor of Science in Biology. St. Cloud’s Jacob Tully received a Bachelor of Business Administration/Master of Taxation in Accounting/Taxation, Cum Laude, from the Hankamer School of Business.

Baldwin Wallace University (Berea, Ohio) announced Emma Stamper of Davenport is a 2021-22 Ratcliffe Student Fellow. Stamper, a graduate of Harrison Center for Visual and Performing Arts majoring in sustainability, joins a group of 36 select students who will spend the academic year turning passion into opportunity via innovation, entrepreneurship an d integrity-based leadership.

St. Cloud’s Kalin Abernathy has been initiated into the Florida Southern College Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society. Initiated students must be at least sophomores in the top 35 percent of their class, demonstrate leadership experience in at least one of the five pillars, and embrace the ODK ideals. Fewer than 5 percent of eligible students are invited to join each year.

Sabrina Santaella of Kissimmee was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society, at Nova Southeastern University. She is among 25,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter.
