It’s that time of the year again. Time to get spooky, it’s spooky season! Here is a list of Osceola County events going on in the area, and some Central Florida ideas when you feel like taking that hike.

Through October 30 — Gaylord Palms Goblins & Giggles Weekends. Gaylord Palms Resort’s Goblins & Giggles Weekends are filled with live shows, costume contests, animal and character encounters, lots of candy, and more. The Goblins & Giggles activities include Monster Mash Bash Dance Party and Costume Contest, Ghoul School, Trick-or-Treat Expedition, Storytime and cookie decorating, Jack-O’-Lantern Walk, Dive-In Movie, Adventure Kids Spooky Celebration, Wicked Brews Spookeasy, Phantom of the Atrium, Spooky Animal Encounters and tons more!

Saturday — Trail of Terror FREAK SHOW. This annual St. Cloud event will take you on the haunted trail at Peghorn Nature Park from 8-11 p.m. (A warning, this event may be too scary for the younger children.)

Oct. 28 — Boo on Broadway. An annual event that’s fun for all ages. “BOO!” brings safe, community trick or treating to downtown Kissimmee’s Broadway, for all to enjoy along with music, performances and surprises from 6-9 p.m. Come for the free candy, photo booth and more.

Oct. 29 — Promenade at Sunset Walk Halloween Kids’ Trick-or-Treat/Car & Truck show. The free event from 4-8 p.m. features live music, street performers, over two dozen candy locations and 24 unique restaurants and shops. This outdoor event is also kid-friendly Participating show cars and trucks will also be distributing treats and competing for the top three best Halloween-themed rides!

Oct. 29 — Disney Pin Trading SPOOKTACULAR PIN CON and Costume Contest. Over 4,000 square feet of vendor space and selling and trading all things Disney, including pins, pops, memorabilia, plush, toys, games, collectibles and raffles. From 10 a.m.- 8 p.m.

Oct. 30 — Kissimmee Main Street presents Historic Downtown Kissimmee Costume Crawl Boos & Booze. Join the community downtown for an adults night out; then visit Dakin Avenue from 6-8 p.m. for the annual Halloween block party and costume contest.

Oct. 31 — Halloween at Old Town. Grab your little ghoul or goblin for a night of Halloween fun at Old Town. Celebrate the spookiest of holidays with free trick-or-treating from 5-7 p.m., Thriller Dancers, and a costume contest starting at 7 p.m.

Theme park stuff — If venturing out to the Orlando theme parks is more your style and budget, there is always Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom and SeaWorld’s Howl-O-Scream.
