The City of Kissimmee’s School of Government — a look at the inner workings of how a municipal government is run — is now accepting applications for new students for the nine-week session starting on Wednesday, April 19.
This civic education program is an interactive way of learning about the City’s form of government and provides a firsthand look at the City’s operations. One of the goals of this program is to set the foundation for residents who are interested in becoming more involved with the City.
About 30 students can participate in this course that ends with graduation on Wednesday, June 14. Each class runs from 5:30 p.m. to about 8 p.m.
Anyone 18 years old and up who lives, works, studies, or owns a business within the City of Kissimmee limits is eligible to participate. Due to space limitations, students are not allowed to bring guests or children to classes.
To get a application, request one at City Hall or email Stephanie.Bechara@Kissimmee.gov. For more information visit www.Kissimmee.gov/SchoolOfGovernment.
