Osceola County is mourning the loss of a resident popular for his YouTube video series.

David Adam Williams, better known to followers as “Adam the Woo,” was found dead in his Celebration home on Monday, Dec. 22, according to the Osceola County Sheriff ’s Office. Williams was 51 years old.

According to deputies, OCSO responded to a call at Williams’ home at 2:53 p.m. on Monday, after a “friend had borrowed a ladder and looked into the third story window to see a male on a bed that was not moving,” a spokesperson for OCSO said in a statement. “Upon entering the residence with Fire Rescue, the male was reported deceased.”

This response was following a well-being check earlier that afternoon. Williams’ cause of death is still being investigated.

Williams was a YouTube pioneer best known for his popular travel and theme park vlogs on his channel, The Daily Woo, where he uploaded videos every day. “Today’s adventure begins…” was often his opening line, noting the date of documentation and a look into what to expect from the video. Inviting viewers with his catchphrase, “Join me, shall you?” He had just returned from a month-long trip across Europe.

Williams often spotlighted Osceola County happenings, businesses, and updates. He and his family moved to St. Cloud in 1991. He considered it to be his hometown, as he shared in a video announcing his move to Celebration in December 2020. His family is still local to St. Cloud and his mother, June Oakes Williams, is a retired Osceola County school bus driver of 21 years.

In his final video posted to The Daily Woo on Sunday, Dec. 21, Williams takes viewers around Celebration in his golf cart, which he nicknamed Mini Marge, as he often did—to see the town’s holiday festivities and residents’ decorations, alongside a friend dressed as the Grinch. He also shows his own home decorated for Christmas.

Williams’ final words posted to his channel: “Thanks for watching. I’ll see you in the next video. The vlog is over.”

Support from family, friends, and fans has flooded social media.

“I’m taking this moment and space to thank everyone for the unbelievable outpouring of love to June, me, and our daughter at the sudden passing of our beloved son Adam,” Jim Williams, David Adam Williams’ father, wrote on his Facebook page. “June and I have been deeply touched by your stories and tributes and memories of Adam… I don’t think Adam ever truly grasped the power of his impact and influence across the country and around the world.”

Jim Williams noted a public celebration of life is in the works and will be held in St. Cloud. More details of the memorial will be shared on his Facebook page.
