Food Truck Fest in Poinciana Thursday, Aug. 6

The Association of Poinciana Villages (APV) will present Food Truck Fest on Thursday, Aug. 6, from 5 to 8 p.m.

The food trucks will be at the Mary Jane Arrington Gym and Aquatic Center, 625 Country Club Drive. The Food Truck Fest will continue the first Thursday every month thereafter.  

Food Truck Fest will be following CDC guidelines. Try something new next Thursday night. So far, the food trucks that will be on-site include: Home Sweet Home Cuisines, APP’s Food Truck and Kona Ice.

Saturdays in August equals pool fun!  The Victory Pool, 445 Marigold Ave., will host some fun Saturday events. On Saturday, Aug. 8, inflatable water slides and on Saturday, Aug. 15, there will be balloon art and glitter tattoos poolside. The tattoos and balloon art are free. Entrance into the pool is by reservation only for a two-hour time slot.  Call 863-427-0900, Ext. 501, Monday through Friday, to make your reservation. Annual membership will be honored or a pass may be purchased for $2 per person.

Don’t forget the Big Red Bus Blood Drive will be on Thursday, July 30, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Anthony DePalma Building, 397 Marigold Ave. Blood donors will also be given a COVID-19 antibody test. All registered voters should have received their sample ballot for this years Primary Election. Early Voting is Aug. 3 to 16, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voting locations in Poinciana and the closest surrounding locations to the Poinciana area are: the Gym and Aquatic Center and the new Tax Collector office in Campbell City.  

The Primary Election is on Tuesday, Aug. 18, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at your assigned polling location.
