In two weeks, it’s back … your Friday night Movie in the Park! In partnership with the City of Kissimmee, Kissimmee Utility Authority will host its free Movie in the Park event on Oct. 1 on the Veteran’s lawn at Kissimmee Lakefront Park.

Skate Reflections is a Kissimmee institution. It opened in 1981 as Roller Ranch but dropped the nod to “Cow Town” in 1988 and has always been a sight to see on Saturday night when skaters of all ages and colors line up to get into the dance party on wheels.

St. Cloud Parks and Recreation will present the Annual Peghorn Pig-Out on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Peghorn Park (2101 Peghorn Way). Enjoy free BBQ as well as live music, horseshoes and a kid’s zone. Take part in adult classes, view exhibitors and shop local vendors.

Due to low player registration, Poinciana Little League will not have a fall season. To substitute the lack of Fall Ball, Poinciana Little League will present Friday Night Lights. This co-ed clinic will be led by local coaches who have played professional baseball.

This September 11th marks 20 years since the terrorist attacks in 2001. VFW Post 3227 will commemorate this event with a 9/11 Day of Remembrance Barbeque, being held at 4700 Chisolm Park Trail (off Narcoossee Road) beginning at 10:30 a.m.
