Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has officially proclaimed November 15 – 19 as “Florida Recycles Week” and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and Florida Recycling Partnership Foundation are coordinating activities to encourage all Floridians to recycle.

Osceola County District 3 Commissioner Brandon Arrington will host a drivethru Food Distribution on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church (3880 Pleasant Hill Rd.) This Thanksgiving meal distribution will consist of turkey dinner boxes.
Farm Share food will be available starting Friday at 10 a.m. until supplies last at Cornerstone Church.

Farm Share, one of Florida’s leading food nonprofits and the state’s largest food bank, is distributing food to food insecure Osceola County residents Friday morning at Cornerstone Family Church. Food will be available starting at 10 a.m. until supplies last at the church at 2925 Canoe Creek Road.

And you thought Smashing Pumpkins was just the name of a ‘90s band … It’s time for the Great Pumpkin Smash in St. Cloud!  Instead of letting your old pumpkin haunt the landfill, break it down and have fun in creative ways to compost it. Pumpkins will be smashed on Monday from 6-8 p.m.

After a year’s absence, Boo! On Broadway, downtown Kissimmee’s annual Halloween bash, returned Friday night with quite the “bang for the Boo.” The city closed Broadway to pedestrian traffic, and by 6 p.m.
