When the City of St. Cloud purchased the venue on Jones Road previously known as Hastings Ranch, they began calling it The Ranch at St. Cloud. It is time to give it a formal name. Submit your suggestions in the comments of the City of St. Cloud’s Facebook page by Friday (Sept. 9). Vote for your favorite name between Sept. 13-16. The winning name will be announced on Sept. 19.

 

The St. Cloud Woman’s Club Heritage Museum and the Orlando Foundation for Architecture presents the St. Cloud premiere of Isabel Roberts’ “Pavilion in the Water” on Sept. 24 at 2 p.m. This event will be held at the St. Cloud Woman’s Club (1014 Massachusetts Ave.) The film explores the futuristic vision of the female architect who worked for Frank Lloyd Wright before moving to St. Cloud in 1918 with her ailing mother. Isabel designed the Veterans Memorial Library, adjacent to the Woman’s Club and many other buildings in St. Cloud. Light refreshments will be served. St. Cloud Marina Banquet Hall will hold an open house on Sept. 14 from 5- 7 p.m. The City of St. Cloud staff and event professionals will be available to answer your questions regarding using this venue for your next special occasion. Sponsored by the Narcoossee Area Chapter of the Osceola County Historical Society, its Barbeque and Baked Goods Sale will be held on Sept. 17 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Historic Narcoossee Schoolhouse, 5026 Yukon St. Featured items include pulled pork, pulled chicken and rib meals. Baked goods, Narcoossee logo items and local vendor booths will also be on sale. All proceeds go to the restoration of the 1886 Narcoossee School House.

 

School is out on the following dates: Sept. 23, Oct. 14 and Nov. 21-23. But the St. Cloud Parks and Recreation’s Day Camp is in. Fall Day Camps at the St. Cloud Civic Center are for children ages 5-12 (children 5 years old must be currently enrolled in kindergarten). The cost is $25 per child per day for residents and $35 per child per day for non-residents.
