The 17th Annual Cancer Awareness event hosted by Rayzor Edge Music and Bike Fest takes place on Sunday, Feb. 1 at 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in downtown St. Cloud (1021B Pennsylvania Ave.). This community event brings together amazing cars, great people and a powerful mission. This is a chance to show off your ride, connect with fellow car enthusiasts and help raise awareness in the fight against cancer with their car show. AMVETS Riders FL Chapter 33 presents Relay for Life Poker Run also on Feb. 1. This 17th Annual Music and Bike Fest, which benefits Relay for Life, begins at 9:30 a.m. at Island Cloud Grill, with stops at Drunken Parrot, AMVETS Post 33, Not a Clue/Cozy Cove and concluding at VFW Post 3227. Fee is $20 per rider/$10 passenger.

 

Registration is now open for the 5th Annual 5K Run for the Cherubs to be held on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 8:30 to 11 a.m. at the St. Cloud Lakefront. The Run for the Cherubs benefits Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital. Entry fees are $35 for adults 18+, $40 same day and $28 for child-youth. Fee includes a t-shirt and finisher medal. Prizes include Amazon gift cards and other awards for the top three finishes in each age group. Runners, walkers, strollers and walk-up registrations are welcome. This course is certified by the USA Track and Field Association. This race is hosted by Graham J. Cowan Foundation. Opening ceremonies take place at 8:10 a.m.

Save the date! St. Cloud Main Street and Granny’s Southern Smokehouse present the Roots & Rhythm Festival on Saturday, Feb. 28 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 9th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, in celebration of Black History Month. There will be live entertainment, food trucks, vendors and a car show. Food trucks and vendor spots are $50 each and fill up quickly, so reserve early. O-Tech St. Cloud will host an information night on Wednesday, Feb. 25 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. for students who want hands on training and career paths. Tour the campus, meet instructors and current students, talk with financial aids and admissions and start your application and financial aid package. Programs include building construction, cosmetology, dental assistant, diesel, medical assistant and pharmacy technician.

 

Soldier City Sundays, a community market takes place at Veterans Park, 1123 13th St., every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This weekly market Veterans resource event celebrates St. Cloud’s proud heritage as the Soldier City. This market features local vendors, crafters and food trucks. There will also be live entertainment and family friendly activities and games. Admission is free.
