Have you registered yet to participate in the Poinciana Christmas Parade? There is still time to be part of the holiday fun. This 26th annual event has room for floats, marching bands, vendors, crafters and food trucks. Cash prizes will be awarded for best float and for the Battle of the Bands competition. Best Decorated Float wins $500 for first place, $300 for second place and $200 for third place. Battle of the Bands competition also awards $400 to first place, $200 to second. The parade will be on Sat., Dec. 11, starting at 11 a.m. follows immediately afterwards at Vance Harmon Amphitheatre Park (50 Country Club Rd.) until 2:00 p.m.

Liberty High School’s Liberty Theater will present Little Shop of Horrors Dec. 9-10 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 11 at 7:30 p.m. in the school’s auditorium (4250 Pleasant Hill Rd.). Osceola Council on Aging is back at the Anthony DePalma Center (395 Marigold Ave.). Council on Aging meets on Mondays, select Wednesdays and Friday mornings. Lunch is provided by Meals on Wheels and there are activities onsite. Space is limited, call 407-846-6532 to reserve a spot.
Registration for ALCO (Adult Learning Center Osceola) is now open for it’s spring semester. There are four locations in Osceola County, with one in Poinciana at 1030 Cypress Parkway. Save the Date! The Polk County Sheriff ’s office will present a Three Kings Day Celebration on Jan. 8th at Poinciana Community Field (445 Marigold Ave.) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is open to all residents of Poinciana living in Polk County. The Three Kings Celebration features food, music and children’s activities with The Three Kings handing out gifts to the children.
