It’s the third Saturday and that means it’s time for the Southport Farmers Market Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This month’s Market boasts 50-plus vendors. Vendors include fresh fruit and produce, local crafts, fresh bread, baked goods, organic foods, local honey and homemade jams. Live music and family fun area rounds out the day. This event is pet friendly. The Southport Farmers Market is located at 2001 E. Southport Road.
Solivita’s 15th Annual Car Show (395 Village Dr.), will also be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be over 150 cars on display, including a vintage Polk County police car. In addition, there will be food concessions, ice cream truck and cash bar, and enjoy shopping 40 vendors. For more information, call 863427- 7125.
Love Makes Me Grow’s mission is to teach communities the value and importance of living off the land. This non-profit organization offers Sunday Gardening Classes. The next class will be held March 26 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Chestnut Elementary School (4399 Chestnut St.) Families are invited to participate in creating, maintaining and harvesting the community garden.

Save the date! The Association of Poinciana Villages (APV) Annual Spring Fest will be held on Saturday, April 8 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Poinciana Community Center, 445 Marigold Ave. (Poinciana Community lawn). The fun includes a magic show, face painting, inflatables, balloon artists and pictures with Mr. and Mrs. Bunny. Food trucks will be onsite as well as vendors and crafters. Also on April 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Polk County Parks and Recreation presents Egg-A-Palooza at Poinciana Community Park (5109 Allegheny Road). This free community event features music, food trucks, games and photos with the Easter Bunny. Egg hunt times are divided into age groups: 10:30 a.m. for 2-3 year olds, 10:45 a.m. for 4-5, 11 a.m. for 6-9 and 11:15 a.m. for 10-12. It’s BYOB (Bring Your Own Basket).
