The Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) has developed a new project that will extend Poinciana Parkway (SR 538) in Osceola County. The 3.1-mile project that will start east of U.S. Highway 17-92 will expand the road to County Road 532. There will also be a new interchange at 17-92 and new bridges over the CSX railroad lines, Old Tampa Highway and 17-92. Construction will begin in the summer of 2024.
Solivita’s 15th Annual Car Show will be on Saturday, Mar. 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 395 Village Drive. There will be more than 150 cars on display, including a Polk County vintage police car. Girls 13-16 can now play softball with Poinciana Little League. Registration is open until March 17. The season runs from April to June with this recreational softball league. The cost is $50 per player. Practices will be held one a week with games on Saturdays (usually doubleheaders). Most of the games will be played at Poinciana Community Park, 5109 Allegheny Road.
