POINCIANA NEWS — Need shots for Back to School? They’re free

Back to School immunizations, at no cost, will be offered Aug. 2-8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Community Health Services Poinciana (105 N. Doverplum Ave.).

Appointments are necessary.  All school-age children up to the age of 18 are eligible.  Parent or legal guardian must be present.  Bring your child’s recent immunization records. For more information, call 407-343-2000.

 

As a reminder, the 2025-2026 Back to School Meet the Teacher events in Osceola County will be held next week from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at high schools (Aug. 6), middle and K-8s Aug. 7 and elementary schools Aug. 8.

 

Poinciana Council, which operates under the Osceola Chamber, will hold a networking opportunity for the Poinciana community. Join the Poinciana Council Business Mixer on Wednesday, Aug. 6 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at SouthState Bank Poinciana (850 Cypress Pkwy.) HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital will host a free Lunch and Learn with its Infection Prevention Director on how everyday hygiene habits impact your health on Tuesday, Aug. 12 from 12 to 1 p.m. at HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital, 325 Cypress Pkwy.

Lunch is included with this session, which will cover how germs are spread, what most people get wrong and how you can protect yourself and others. Seating is limited; to register call 844-630-5295.
