The Association of Poinciana Villages (APV) invites all residents to their annual Sweetheart Dance on Saturday, Feb. 21 from 6-9 p.m. at the Poinciana Community Center for adults ages 21 and over. Adults are invited to the Poinciana Library on Friday, Feb. 13 from 1-2:30 p.m. for Trivia! Black History Month Addition. Recognize the important contributions of notable African American leaders while answering questions in their honor. Winners will be presented with their choice of a book.

The Osceola School District’s Special Programs Department will bring their READ Bus, a renovated yellow school bus, with an interior that resembles a mini pre-K classroom to the Poinciana Library on Monday, Feb. 16. There will be 9:15 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. sessions.
Separating Business and Personal Financing, presented by Truist Bank, takes place on Tuesday, Feb. 17 from 2-3 p.m. Learn how to keep your business and personal finances separate as you make progress towards your work and life goals.
Children ages 6-11 are invited to attend Be Internet Awesome! On Wednesday, Feb. 18 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. This program is provided by Highlights on Google to help kids feel secure and safe while navigating the Internet.

HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital will host Orthopedic Care for Healthy Aging— Lunch & Learn on Wednesday, Feb. 18 from 12-1 p.m. This educational opportunity focuses on how orthopedic care can support healthy aging and help older adults maintain mobility and independence. This session will provide general information on both non-surgical and surgical orthopedic care options commonly used to address joint health, mobility concerns and age-related orthopedic conditions. AARP Foundation Tax– Aide provides tax consulting with several preparation options. This service is free of charge, with special focus on those over 50 or have low to moderate income. Mondays through April 15 Tax-Aide will be at the Anthony DePalma Center (395 Marigold Ave.) from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. These services will be available in both English and Spanish.
