There will be a Southport Connector Expressway Study Virtual Public Hearing on Wednesday, Sept. 17 from 5:30-7 p.m. (link provided after registration). An in-person Osceola County meeting will be held at Liberty High School, 4250 Pleasant Hill Rd. on Tuesday, Sept. 16 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. In Polk County, the PD&E Study public hearing is Thursday, Sept. 18 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Poinciana Community Center, 445 Marigold Ave. and at the Anthony DePalma Center, 395 Marigold Ave.

Have you registered for the Luau yet? The Association of Poinciana Village’s (APV) Annual Poolside Luau will be on Saturday, Sept. 6 from 6-9 p.m. at the Victory Pool, 445 Marigold Ave. The pool area will be transformed into a tropical paradise with entertainment including luau entertainers, finger foods, music, DJ and dancing, games and a tropical cash bar with adult beverages.

Sensory Playdate takes place on Thursday, Aug. 28 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at the Poinciana Library. Explore the five senses with sensory activities that benefit all children but are of particular help to those on the autism spectrum.
Checkmate Challenge takes place on Saturday, Aug. 30 from 12-1 p.m. Adults can put their game knowledge to the test as they battle it out with fellow chess enthusiasts. Checkmate Challenge is held in celebration of International Chess Day. Game boards will be provided.
