Poinciana News — It’s Trunk or Treat time at APV

Gather your super heroes, princesses, ghosts and goblins! It’s time for the 2022 Trunk or Treat and Fall Fest presented by the Association of Poinciana Villages (APV).

This event will be held at the Activity Campus (445 Marigold Ave.) on Saturday from 5-8 p.m. This 7th annual fall event boasts 50 “trunkers”. Trunks will be filled with goodies to give out to the trick or treaters. There will also be food trucks from places like Al Paladar Latino Foods, Manny’s Pizzeria and JR Mini Donuts.

Inside the Community Center, there will be a Not So Scary Haunted House (admission is $1). Be sure you check out the assorted vendors inside the Community Center. A DJ will keep the Halloween party going in addition to fun and games.

This free family event is open to all Poinciana residents. Last year’s event had close to 1,500 trick or treaters. For more information about APV’s 2022 Trunk or Treat and Fall Fest, contact LifeStyles Director Giselle Padilla at gpadilla@ fsresidential.com.

Earlier in the day on Saturday, Escape the Wizard Library from 2-5 p.m. at the Poinciana Library, 101 N. Doverplum Ave. Kept locked away in the deepest part of the forbidden section, the Book of Umbra has unleashed a curse upon the library! Use your wit to find and collect the curse fragments to save the library before it’s too late. This family event is for all ages!

Living Water Fellowship, 4101 Pleasant Hill Road, invites families to Light the Night on Halloween (Oct. 31) from 6-8 p.m. This free event provides a safe and enjoyable place for children ages up to 12 years old. There will be bounce houses, games, a trunk or treat, food trucks and a live Kidz Incorporated show. Consider this safe alternative as opposed to door-to-door trick or treating.
