The Association of Poinciana Villages (APV) is looking for vendors to participate in this year’s Fireworks Spectacular. The Fireworks Spectacular will be on Saturday, June 24 at Vance Harmon Park Amphitheater (625 Country Club Dr.) This is one of APV’s biggest and best event of the year.

Crafters, food vendors, businesses and organizations may register on APV’s Facebook page. Food truck price is $100. Payment must be received by Friday, June 9.

Osceola Arts will hold a 2023 Summer Education Camp at the Valencia College Poinciana campus (3255 Pleasant Hill Road). This camp is for kids ages 7-14. The camp’s hours are Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Scholarships are available for this amazing summer camp. The camp sessions are: Laugh Lab: Performance Camp, June 5-9 (participants will work out their funny bone and work together on improv games, sketch comedy and stand-up routines; the week ends with a hilarious showcase presented for family and friends); Galaxy Wars: Art Fusion Camp, June 12-16 (campers will work on art and theatre creations and will end the week with a final art showcase for friends and family); Cinerama: Film Camp, June 19-30 (Campers will work together to write, direct and star in their own short movie, learn video shots, storyboarding and, and wraps up with a special movie premiere.)

District 3 Commissioner Brandon Arrington is hosting a drive-thru summer food distribution on Saturday, June 10 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church (3880 Pleasant Hill Road). This is a drive-thru event. Meal packages will be distributed one per car, first come, first served, while supplies last.
