ASSOCIATION OF POINCIANA VILLAGES will hold its fireworks spectacular Saturday.
The Association of Poinciana Villages (APV) Fireworks Spectacular 2023 takes place this Saturday, June 24 at 6 p.m. at the Amphitheater of Vance Harmon Park, 625 Country Club Dr. The Amphitheater stage will be filled with professional performers who will entertain the crowd. On the surrounding grounds you will see professional hula hoopers and stilt walkers. Food trucks will also be on-site in addition to inflatables, face painters, balloon artists and assorted vendors. Fireworks will begin at nightfall and will be choreographed to music.
Parking is limited. Carpooling is encouraged. Parking is also available at 445 Marigold Ave. with shuttle services running every 20 minutes from 5-11 p.m.
Wear your red, white and blue and bring your lawn chairs, patriotism — and maybe an umbrella — to this early Independence Day celebration.
And. before you heat up Independence Day, head to the Poinciana Library for a chill on Friday — a matinee showing of “Frozen” from 2-4 p.m. Keep cozy with a pillow and blanket brought from home.
Come back to the Library on Friday, June 30 at 2 p.m. for the movie Encanto (and find out why we don’t talk about Bruno).
Patrons report for duty! Grammar Boot Camp wants you on Wednesday, June 28 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Learn new grammar rules to attach to your “grammar tool belt”. This is an adult language and literacy event.
Library programs are free and open to the public.
The next Coffee & Conversation with HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital’s CEO Alex Romero takes place on Wednesday, July 5 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Coffee & Conversation happens on the first Wednesday of every month. This is a chance for open dialogue about what matters to you when it comes to healthcare and services at Poinciana Hospital.
