Plenty to do this weekend in Poinciana

Solivita’s 2022 Fall Arts and Crafts Festival will be on Saturday, Nov. 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The free event will be at the Solivita Village Center (395 Village Dr.). Over 120 artisan and craft vendors will be onsite, and includes food and drinks as well as wine, beer and an art garden. Enjoy live music and a kids zone featuring arts and crafts and face painting. Also on Saturday, the Fall Festival Community Fair presented by AVOSHelp – Anointed Victorious Outreach Services — will be held at 1901 S. Poinciana Blvd. starting at 11:30 a.m. Fun activities include bounce houses, face painting and balloon arts. Enjoy free food and candy, raffle giveaways (giveaways include: tablets, Kindles, phones) and carnival rides. For the “bigger kids” there will be information about healthcare enrollment as well as health screenings.

Broadmoor Estates (Village 9) will hold a community yard sale on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This community sale will he held along Enterprise Drive between Cattle Drive and Poinciana Boulevard.

The First Friday Food Trucks will be at the Poinciana Community Center parking lot (445 Marigold Ave.) on Friday from 5-8 p.m. November’s vendors are El Paladar Latino Food, JR Mini Donuts, Cray’s Kettle Corn, Manny’s Pizzeria and Itar To Go.

Book sales are back at the Poinciana Library. Presented by Osceola Friends of the Library, the next sale will be on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Writers Block will meet on Nov. 10 from 4-5:30 p.m. Join fellow writing enthusiasts to learn and share the joy of poetry and word building.

Learn the Art of Hand Lettering on Nov. 1 from 2-3:30 p.m. Learn the basic process to simulate calligraphy using the eloquent technique of hand lettering. Supplies are provided.
