Osceola Arts has opened the New Year with Ken Ludwig’s “Moon Over Buffalo.”
Running through Sunday, Feb. 9, the Osceola Arts Main stage will host this popular stage comedy. Set in 1953, playwright Ken Ludwig’s “Moon Over Buffalo” follows George and Charlotte Hay, a husband-and-wife team of actors, who are struggling to perform two stage productions in repertory at their local theater.
Add in some personal drama, family crises and a potential visit from a hotshot Hollywood director and what could possibly go wrong? Directed by J. Marie Bailey, this production features two Osceola Arts newcomers Alex Moore and Emily Lupfer as George and Charlotte, respectively.
Tickets are only $25, with senior, students and group rates available. Showtimes for “Moon Over Buffalo” are 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, 2 p.m. on Sundays, and an additional 2 p.m. matinee performance on Saturday, Feb. 1.
Osceola Arts is also pleased to bring back a very popular art exhibit. The National Arts Program exhibit has opened and will be on display through Feb. 9 in the Main Galleries. Sponsored by the National Arts Program Foundation in support and cooperation with Osceola Arts, the exhibit features over 170 pieces created by Osceola School District and Osceola Arts employees, their immediate family members, retirees, volunteers and current Osceola Arts students.
The National Arts Program is designed to give artists, at all skill levels, an uninhibited opportunity to exhibit their work in a professional manner and to compete for cash prizes in a number of categories.
