MEGACON, the Southeast’s largest fan convention, returns to the Orange County Convention Center Thursday, April 16 through Sunday, April 19. This year, MEGACON Orlando expects to welcome more than 100,000 fans throughout the weekend with a starstudded lineup of celebrity guests and endless programming.

Fans will experience a rare reunion of the Four Hobbits from Lord of the Rings: Elijah Wood (Frodo), Sean Astin (Samwise), Billy Boyd (Peregrin) and Dominic Monaghan (Meriadoc). Guests can meet iconic comedian Weird Al Yankovic and actor Brendan Fraser (The Mummy, Doom Patrol, George of the Jungle, Encino Man, Airheads).

Comic fans will come face-to-face with legendary writer and co-publisher of DC Entertainment, Jim Lee. Saved by the Bell cast members Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Zack Morris) Mario Lopez (A.C. Slater) and Elizabeth Berkley (Jessie Spano) will also reunite. Additional celebrity meet-and-greet opportunities include Joonas Viljami Suotamo (Chewbacca in the Star Wars saga), Christina Ricci (Addams Family, Casper), Giancarlo Esposito (The Mandalorian, Breaking Bad), as well as the voice actors behind My Hero Academia and Steven Universe.

More exciting celebrity appearances will be announced leading up to the four-day event that also features familyfriendly activities, shopping, workshops, enhanced anime programming, cosplay contests and attractions.

“We’re thrilled to welcome our fans back to MEGACON Orlando — a playground for fans of comics, sci-fi, gaming and more — for an impressive weekend of programming, celebrity appearances and interactive activities,” said Fan Expo HQ Vice President Andrew Moyes. “From cast reunions and celebrity meet-and-greets, to the always interesting Artist Alley and cosplay contests, MEGACON Orlando 2020 will be an exciting, high-energy weekend for fans of all ages.”

MEGACON Orlando is the Southeast’s largest comic, sci-fi, horror, anime and gaming convention. In May 2019, more than 100,000 fans attended MEGACON Orlando at the Orange County Convention Center. In 2020, the show will be held on new dates in April.
