Osceola Transportation and Transit will present a community meeting to discuss the Marigold Avenue Safety Improvement Project on Aug. 4 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Poinciana Community Center.
This project’s purpose is to improve traffic flow and help encourage safer driving speeds on Marigold. Osceola County recommends the addition of single-lane modern roundabouts at Peabody Road, Laurel Avenue and San Lorenzo Road. A northbound left turn lane is recommended at San Miguel Road.
This public meeting will give the community an opportunity to learn about this project and provide feedback. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2025.
There are three ways to participate in this meeting. In-person attendees will have the opportunity to view a looping presentation and project displays, speak with project team managers and share comments. Those interested in participating online in a Virtual Public Meeting (VPM) from a computer, tablet or mobile device using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge will be able to download project displays, provide comments or ask questions.
