The weather may be a couple weeks away from cooling off, but it is that time of year for pretzels, mustard, kraut and beer.

Oktoberfest kicks off in Kissimmee this weekend, pouring its first stein Friday (Sept. 16) at Krush Brau Park (4580 W. Vine St., west of Medieval Times) weekends through October 30, with activities every weekend leading up to the close. For more information on entertainment and a list of activities, visit www.krushbraupark.com.

Sunday can be for church, brunch and family — why not exotic cars and coffee, too? Old Town Kissimmee is hosting Exotic Cars and Coffee this Sunday (Sept. 18) from 10 a.m. to noon. Check out some of the world’s most famous models: Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Lotus, Porsche and McLaren. The term “exotic” is used in marketing by automakers to mean “unusual or expensive,” but we like to think it means “the type of vehicle that dreams are made of.” For more information, visit www.myoldtownusa.com.

Orlando City of the MLS just won the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, the oldest soccer competition in the country. Come see some of their players of the future at Osceola County Stadium on Sunday (Sept. 18) when Orlando City B takes on Toronto FC at 4 p.m. Come represent Central Florida’s team.

The ‘Monday Blues’ getting you down? Change that at “Paint and Sip” this Monday (Sept. 19) from 6-8 p.m. at Big John’s Rockin’ BBQ on Lakeview Drive. The event will be two hours of after-work guided painting. Come ready to grab a swatch and a scotch! For more information visit www.bigjohnsrockinbbq.com.
