It’s fall—trust us, the thermometer says otherwise

Though it is not sweater weather, Florida Fall has its own unique and enjoyable Fall festivities. Check them out.

Mick Farms Hometown Harvest (4261 Canoe Creek Road) is this weekend, Saturday, Oct. 11 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 12 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. This event features a vintage fair atmosphere and features an apple pie contest, face painting, food trucks, vendors, live band and you pick pumpkins. The annual Partin Ranch Corn Maze (5601 N. Canoe Creek Road, Kenansville) is set to open this weekend. The dates are Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 11-12, 18-19, 24-26 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Special activities include Breast Cancer Awareness (wear a pink clothing item Oct. 19 and receive $1 off admission), a canned good drive (donate one non-perishable food item Oct. 25-26 and receive $1 off admission), and Trick or Treating Day (kids in costume ages 3-12 get in free Oct. 26). Tickets $15 for ages 3 and up.

 

The Legend of Peghorn is calling you! Trail of Terror— The Legend of Peghorn is ready to have you face your fears at (Peghorn Nature Park). The nights of fright are Oct. 11, 1718 and 24-25. Registration for the 20252026 Ron Riley Youth Basketball Winter League opens Friday, Oct. 10. The fee is $90 per child for city residents and $115 per child for non-residents.
