The Poinciana Library (101 N. Doverplum Ave.) will offer its Computer Online Safety class today from 10-11 a.m. Learn how you can stay safe on the Internet. Following the guidelines in this course will help to protect you online as well as teach you the signs of malware, spyware, phishing, viruses and more.
Then tonight, bring the kids to the Library at 7 p.m. in their pajamas as they listen to stories and sing songs before it is time to say good night.
On Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., learn to be a Story Builder. The Library welcomes all writers to work together with fellow writing enthusiasts to design a collaborative narrative. You can also bring your own written words for editing.
Roll up your sleeve! OneBloods Big Red Bus will be at the library to receive your lifesaving donation on Wednesday, Nov. 24, from 1-6 p.m. Be a hero and be part of the Community Blood Drive.
Light it up! Check out the brightest show in town – Our Light Display’s Christmas Show. The dazzling lights can be found at 922 Dartmouth Ct.
If you enjoy popular Disney hits like Frozen, along with traditional Christmas favorites, you will want to check out this show starting Nov. 26 and runs every nightly at 6 p.m. through Dec. 31. The entire show is 40 minutes long.
The Christmas show takes two to three weeks of set-up and consists of 1,000 lights, flood lights, pixels and other cool elements. People can tune their car radio to 99.7 FM to hear the synchronized music.
Take a break from the holiday scramble – decorating, baking and shopping for that perfect gift. Take a minute to reflect. On Dec. 4, from 7-10 p.m. Poinciana Christian Church (3181 Pleasant Hill Rd.), invites the community to experience the Reason for the Season. Journey to Bethlehem is a drivethru re-creation of the Christmas Story. Featuring live animals and actors, guest can tune into a radio station and enjoy Journey to Bethlehem from the comfort of their vehicle.
