Kissimmee is the perfect destination for memorable thrill and chill vacation moments.

With current conditions in mind, there are plenty of outdoor adventures and attractions that social distance simply by nature.

Here are some of Experience Kissimmee’s eco-friendly partners, now reopened with new safety measures.

Gatorland

Central Florida’s oldest roadside attraction, Gatorland, offers guests the opportunity to see thousands of alligators and crocodiles, an aviary and bird rookery, an incredible breeding marsh, a petting zoo, up-close encounter shows, and more. Thrill seekers, consider the Screamin’ Gator Zip Line — which flies over alligators and crocodiles at speeds near 30 miles per hour. The eco-tourism park also offers a 350-foot long, wheelchair-accessible zip line called the Gator Gauntlet, that travels above the park and its giant alligator breeding marsh.

Note: Gatorland is focusing on 14 critical areas for safe park operations. The park’s 24 leaders from every department and discipline have developed a 31-page policy manual for operating the park under restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Wild Florida

Airboat rides, a gator and wildlife park, a drive-thru safari, and so much more. Located off Cypress Lake, Wild Florida’s airboat tours allow visitors to get close to Florida wildlife in its natural habitat. Keep an eye out for alligators, fish, and birds — including bald eagles. The gator and wildlife park exhibit several different species of animals, such as alligators, tropical birds, emu, lemurs, and more. Guests can pick up an activity book and drive their own cars through the 85-acre Drive-Thru Safari Park to discover native and exotic animals roaming freely.

Note: All waiting areas within Wild Florida are marked with 6-foot spacing indicators and signage. Employees are monitoring groups, lines, and waiting areas to ensure physical distancing measures are being followed. All airboat tours are limited to no more than eight to 10 persons per boat to ensure social distancing.

Orlando Tree Trek Adventure Park

This attraction is for the adventurous — with more than 97 aerial challenges set atop canopy trees, there are four separate courses for every elevation and skill level.

Orlando Tree Trek, located in Kissimmee, offers two separate courses built for kids including 21 challenges. Plus, a 425-foot zip line to end the adventure.

Note: New safety procedures due to the COVID-19 pandemic include required face coverings for guests while in the welcome center and on the demonstration course, staggered departures, physical distancing, required gloves while on the course (provided, free of charge), and increased sanitization efforts.

Revolution Adventures

Located in Central Florida's countryside, this unique experience allows guests to drive an ATV through mud holes, dry sandy tracks, and grass, with plenty of twists and turns. Want to take it slow? Board the

park’s six-wheeled army truck, designed to give the best views of surrounding lakes, sand dunes, and wildlife.

Note: There is reduced availability for this eco-attraction, including strict adherence to recommended heathy and hygiene directives.
