Poinciana students who attend a Polk County high school are being offered a one-time opportunity for students currently enrolled at Haines City High School to apply for enrollment at Davenport High, which will open this August.

The offer is only available to Haines City High students who would be in the ninth, 10th or 11th grade during the upcoming 2021-2022 school year. Enrollment in Davenport High will be limited to 100 HCHS students on a first-come, first-serve basis. Parents or legal guardians of eligible HCHS students can apply for enrollment by emailing their contact information and students name to Davenportsenior@polk.fl.net.

If selected, HCHS students must provide their own transportation to attend Davenport High. Polk County Public Schools is offering this opportunity to ease capacity at HCHS. Davenport High will also provide relief to existing Ridge Community High.

The new school is adjacent to the Davenport School of the Arts at 4525 County Road 546 North.
