COVID-19 testing at Poinciana Library

Merry Christmas Poinciana! The end of the year celebrations in the community have been wonderful – a far cry from last year’s “Season of COVID.” Christmas is a wonderful day, but it may not be so happy and joyous for those who have lost love ones. Check on your friends and neighbors who may be a little down. Bring your spirit and goodwill to share with others!

Speaking of the pandemic, the Poinciana Branch Library (101 N. Doverplum Ave.), will host a Nomi Health Walk-Up Testing Event for COVID-19 on Wednesday (Dec. 29) fromi 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. This-walk-up COVID testing is free to the community. Appointments are not necessary, however, patients may pre-register their information at bit. ly/32qrhFz. Tests are available for individuals 12 months and older.

On the same day at the library, be a hero and save a life by donating blood at the Community Blood Drive from 1-6 p.m. OneBlood’s Big Red Bus will be onsite to receive your lifesaving donation. For the safety of donors and staff, face coverings must be worn. If you do not have a face covering, one will be provided. Temperatures will be taken upon arrival. If you do not feel well or are running a fever, stay home and make your donation another day For more information, go to OneBlood.org.
