The “Decoding Weight Loss”: class will be held at HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital, (First floor, Osceola Room) on July 8 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. and every Friday thereafter. This class will explain the science to losing weight: calories burned must be greater than calories consumed. During this workshop, you will learn to read food labels, use a food scale and track your calories and nutrients using the MyFitnessPal app. Tracking calories, proteins, carbohydrates, fats, sodium, vitamins and minerals is beneficial to people with diabetes, hypertension, kidney failure, bariatric surgery and more.
