Is it really Halloween in Kissimmee until the downtown streets are taken over by Boo! On Broadway?

Kissimmee Main Street starts the weekend on Friday at 6 p.m. If you’re coming from out of the area, come in on the SunRail train to the “Upside Down” at Kissimmee/Amtrak Station and follow the signs to the Boo! On Broadway. There will be an additional 9 p.m. northbound train departing the Kissimmee/Amtrak Station.

An estimated 6,000 participated in Boo! on Broadway last year. The route for trick-or-treating will be throughout the Broadway corridor. There will be multiple information booths located on the median of each block distributing maps to help guide everyone to their desired activities.

“Over the years we have added more events within Boo! on Broadway,” said Main Street Director Diana Marrero-Pinto. “This year with COVID restrictions gone, I believe this will be the biggest year yet. I can’t wait to see the turn out and everyone enjoying themselves.”

Along the route, multiple downtown businesses, nonprofits and organizations will hand out candy to all the children who are dressed up in costume. Trunk or Treat will be located at the Kissimmee Police Department parking lot at Stewart Avenue for more treats.

In front of the Kissimmee Main Street office, there will be a family games and photo booths area. Across the street will be the Boo Buys area for those who want to do some holiday seasonal shopping.

The Early Learning Coalition will be hosting “Bitty Boo” activities for those five years old and under in the Scooterville lot.

The Family stage will be located on Pleasant Street, where various family-friendly music performances and shows take place.

A Freestyle concert featuring Cynthia and Chicago’s Jesse B will be located on Dakin Street, for those 70s and 80s babies ages 18 and older. For a more “Spooktacular Experience” the Boo! Breezeway will be the place to go, located at the corner of Broadway and Stewart Street.
