Police say male suspect is dead from self-inflicted gunshot wound

What the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office is calling a domestically-related shooting left one man dead Monday and a mother and 18-year-old son fighting for their lives.

Tuesday, the Sheriff’s Office identified the deceased as Garshard Shaquille Alexander Strong, 33, of Kissimmee.

At 5:19 pm., the Osceola Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reference to a shooting and responded to a home on Sheffield Circle in west Kissimmee. That's off U.S. Highway 192 just east of Vineland Road.

Deputies found three people with gunshot wounds, including an adult male suspect, who was pronounced deceased on scene from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, and an adult woman and her son, who were transported to a local hospital for surgery to treat their wounds. The 38-year-old woman was in critical condition, and the male in serious condition at the print deadline for this issue.
