Osceola Council on Aging celebrates 50th anniversary

The Osceola Council on Aging held a virtual Golden Anniversary brunch celebration Oct. 7, complete with meals from Big John’s Rockin BBQ. Over $10,000 was raised through about 225 prepared meals of chicken and waffles — many delivered to sponsors and Meals on Wheels clients as pictured.

For the 29th time, it’s Viva Osceola!

The annual Viva Osceola, Osceola County’s premier Hispanic celebration, returned to Kissimmee Lakefront Park Saturday for the 29th year to celebrate Hispanic music, food, heritage and fellowship, presented by the Kissimmee/Osceola Chamber of Commerce.

Gatorland, the self-described “Alligator Capital of the World” is bringing back its Gators, Ghosts and Goblins Halloween event for a third year in a row. The all-ages, daytime, familyfriendly event at the park on Orange Blossom Trail takes place weekends from Oct. 9 through 31.

St. Cloud Main Street announces annual business award winnners

St. Cloud Main Street recently held its annual awards banquet at Phyre Brewery and Tavern, when it revealed its annual business winners.

“Move that truck!”

After their house went up in flames more than a year ago, the Foster family finally got back home Saturday. And with help from the St. Cloud Fire Department, Snow Construction and community supporters, not only is the 2-story home back, it’s better than ever.

Art Pop Up

The City of Kissimmee held an Art Pop up on May 15 and the Lighthouse Lawn at the Kissimmee Lakefront Park. It featured local articles of all mediums and genres along with live music. Events are returning to the Kissimmee Lakefront Park.

Foster Youth Connection Month Celebrated

On May 4th at Kissimmee City Hall, the Foster Youth Connection, a local nonprofit held an event to bring awareness to the needs of foster children in Osceola County. The event was a way to inform the public how they can foster, adopt or help the foster children.
