Sheriff’s Office searching for suspect who stole money from woman after accosting her at car

Osceola deputies are searching for a male suspect who stole money from a woman after accosting her at her car on Sunday.

At approximately 12:30 p.m., a female victim was parked at the front of the Hope Thrift Store at 5943 W. U.S. Highway 192 in Kissimmee, when she was approached by an unknown male. The victim was leaning into her parked car, when she felt the suspect push up against her telling her to, “Be quiet and get into the car,” according to an Osceola County Sheriff’s Office report.

When the woman began to yell, the suspect grabbed her in a bear hug, but she was able to break free and run for help.

While she was getting help, the suspect went into her car and stole her wallet, taking between $50 to $200 before discarding it.

The suspect fled on a red and black bicycle traveling east on U.S. 192. He was described as a dark-skinned male, with dark brown eyes, dark short hair and was unshaven. He was wearing a grey hooded jacket with light grey sweatpants with a black stripe down the side of the legs.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying this suspect. Anyone with information related to this case is asked to contact the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office at 407-348-2222 or Crimeline at 1-800-423-8477, where information leading to a felony arrest may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.

Suspect shoots, kills

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man after he allegedly shot and killed his brother on Dec. 27.

Alberto Ducos Jr., 34, has been charged with murder and is in the Osceola County Jail.

At about 10:44 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office responded to a Doncaster Court home in Poinciana after receiving a shooting report of a shooting.

When deputies arrived, they found Alberto’s brother, Jonathan Ducos, lying in the roadway in front of the home with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Poinciana Medical Center, where he later died.

According to a Sheriff’s Office report, Alberto and Jonathan got into an argument that quickly escalated, leading Alberto to shoot his brother. He then fled the scene, but later surrendered.
