Kissimmee police searching for shooting suspect

The Kissimmee Police Department is currently searching for a suspect who shot a man at a local apartment complex on Monday.

At about 9:30 p.m., Kissimmee police received a call that shots were fired at the Outrigger Apartments, 1701 W. Mabbette St. When officers arrived, they found 22-year-old Daniel Gonzalez in his vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital where he was listed in critical but stable condition.

Police Department investigators are actively working to identify any suspects in the shooting.

West Palm man killed in Osceola crash

A West Palm Beach man was killed in an Osceola County crash last week after losing control of the vehicle he was driving.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, Christopher Considine, 51, was driving a 2016 Jeep SUV northbound on Florida’s Turnpike at about 2:15 a.m. on Jan. 16.

For an unknown reason, Considine lost control of the Jeep, and it overturned several times. Considine, who was not wearing a seat belt, was partially ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, the report stated.

Three passengers in the car were Desiree Jacobsen, 39, of Davenport; Alexander Ramirez, 18, of New York; and Joseph Desiderio, of Coral Springs.

Ramirez and Desiderio were taken to Osceola Regional Medical Center in serious condition. Jacobsen, the only person wearing a seatbelt, was taken to the same hospital with minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.

Pedestrian hit, killed on Boggy Creek Road

A female pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle while walking on Boggy Creek Road on Jan. 16

James Palmer, 52, of Kissimmee, was driving a 2010 Chrysler van westbound on the road at about 6:40 a.m., according to Florida Highway Patrol report.

The pedestrian was either standing on the north shoulder as walked into the westbound lane or was waling in the road, troopers said.

Palmer was unable to avoid the female and struck her, the report stated. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name was not listed in the report as troopers were trying to learn her identity.

The crash remains under investigation.
