Memorial Day Observance and City Holiday Schedule

The City of St. Cloud’s administrative offices will be closed on Monday, May 31, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. City employees will resume regular business hours Tuesday, June 1. This closure includes the St. Cloud Utilities customer walk-in center at City Hall.

Poker Run

The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 3227, is hosting a Poker Run on June 5, 2021. The proceeds from this event will be utilized to fund various community and scholarship programs. VFW Post 3227 is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization.

Mental Health Check Up

Dr. Eugenia Agard is hosting “Mental Health Check Up” through Kissimmee-based HUGS Healing to discuss racial trauma. Agard, a licensed therapist and member of the local branch of the Osceola County NAACP, will lead the Zoom session at 6:30 pm on Thursday, May 27.

Silver Spurs Summer Rodeo

The Silver Spurs summer rodeo kicks off next Friday, June 4 and Saturday, June 5 nights at 7:30pm. Both performances will include seven traditional rodeo events: bull riding, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing, steer wrestling and team roping.

Improved Neighborhood Park opens

A revitalized Marydia Neighborhood Park has opened to the public. The park located at 2942 Tampa Ave. in Kissimmee has a footprint of just over a half-acre, but the recent work packs a lot into a relatively small space.

Kissimmee police and fire department will go head to head in a battle of the barbecue

Kissimmee Main Street will be having a “Red Blue & BBQ” cook-off competition between the two agencies on June 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kissimmee Main Street, 421 Broadway. The public will decide who’s the best barbecue master in hamburger, chicken, ribs, and steak categories.

Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony

Remember the fallen. There will be a Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony, Wednesday, May 19, at 9:30 a.m at the Osceola County Courthouse. The courthouse is located at 2 Courthouse Square, in Kissimmee, Florida.

St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament May 21,

The 40th anniversary of the St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament will be Friday, May 21, at the Royal St. Cloud Golf Links, 5310 Michigan Ave., St. Cloud.  It’s from 7 a.m. to noon. Breakfast and lunch is included. It’s $100 per person or $400 for a four-person team.
