Osceola Magic fan favorite Mac McClung earns Two-Way NBA contract

Mac McClung, the point guard who earned NBA G-League MVP honors while playing for the Osceola Magic last season, has been named a Two-Way player with a converted contract, the Orlando Magic announced Saturday.

This means McClung, who has won the NBA Slam Dunk Contest in back-to-back NBA All-Star weekends, can freely move to the Orlando roster on a game-by-game basis.

McClung was signed by Orlando in September ahead of the NBA preseason, and scored eight points in 15 minutes of action in two preseason games. Last season for the Osceola Magic, McClung played in and started 27 games, and led the G League with a 25.7 per game scoring average.

He joins Trevelin Queen as as two-way player. Queen spent last season as a two-way, and split the year between Osceola and Orlando. He played in 14 games with NBA Orlando Magic, and averaged 11.8 minutes per game.

The Orlando Magic open the NBA season on Wednesday in Miami against the Heat. The Osceola Magic open the season at the Silver Spurs Arena on Nov. 8 against the Austin Spurs.
