State Road 417 and some of the ramps to and from it will close overnight Wednesday into Thursday for road work and traffic shifts, the Central Florida Expressway Authority has announced. Here's where:
From 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.: The ramp from Narcoossee Road to northbound SR 417 will be closed. To go north on 417, stay on Narcoossee to Moss Park Road, turn right and enter 417 there.
From 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.: The southbound 417 ramp to south John Young Parkway (Exit 10) will be closed for road work. Instead, exit north on John Young Parkway to Town Loop Boulevard (the next light), turn left and follow the detour signs back to south John Young.
From 11:59 p.m. to 4 a.m.: Southbound SR 417 from Lake Nona Boulevard to Boggy Creek Road will be closed overnight for sign work. Traffic will exit at Lake Nona Boulevard (Exit 19), turn left to Boggy Creek, where it can re-enter 417. Tolls associated with this detour will be suspended while it is in place.
This work is associated with capacity improvements on SR 417 that started in February 2021 and are expected to be complete by summer 2024.
