Another slate of road and ramp closures associated with the State Road 417 Capacity Improvements project are scheduled for next week. Here's the details:
Starting tonight (Sunday, June 4) through Thursday, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., the northbound SR 417 ramps to Florida’s Turnpike (Exit 12) will be closed nightly for bridge work. Drivers will be directed to exit at Landstar Boulevard (Exit 14) and follow the detour signs.
Monday Monday (June 5) into Thursday, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.: Narcoossee Road under SR 417 will be closed for bridge work. Traffic headed north on Narcoossee should go onto 417 North to Moss Park Road (the next exit, the toll will be suspended) and follow detour signs back to Narcoossee.
Also, southbound 417 will close tonight (June 4) from 12-4 a.m. for sign work. Overnight traffic on 417 will exit at Boggy Creek southbound to Simpson Road, then right on Osceola Parkway to a right on Landstar and back to 417.
This work to expand 417 is expected to be completed by summer 2024, the Central Florida Expressway Authority says.
