Vine Street, other Kissimmee roads reopen as police investigate railroad death

All SunRail trains into Osceola County are again running and on-time after the Kissimmee Police Department reported a pedestrian was killed in on-track incident with a cargo train just after 2 a.m. Monday.

There are no reports on the gender of or other information about the victim, who police say was found near the intersection of Magnolia Avenue and Lindsay Way.

Streets in the area of the railroad tracks were closed for a time, including Vine Street between Orange Blossom Trail and Michigan Street, but were re-opened by 9 a.m.

The incident required the cancelation of three southbound SunRail routes. Bus service was implemented between the Tupperware stop and Poinciana for those who needed transport.
