 Supporting the SAFE ActDear Editor:As a physical therapist treating patients in Kissimmee, I see the harmful effects falls have on our nation’s older population every day —from prolonged pain to hospitalizations, even death.

It’s probably human nature to seek logical, sensible explanations for shocking, inexplicable events.Maybe it’s the idea that if we can understand the things we fear, things that make no sense, we can somehow prevent them.

If you watch or read any amount of news that’s more than “none”, you see the reports from political rallies all the time. It’s commonplace, especially in an election year … “Oh yeah, <CANDIDATE> spoke in <CITY> at <LOCATION> to talk about <CANDIDACY>.

There are currently third-party candidates for president — Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Jill Stein and Cornell West. All three claim they are running to give voters a choice and a chance to voice their views. All three insist they are not “spoilers.” Let’s examine this.
