District forming plan on re-opening schools safely

The Osceola County School District is in the process of formulating a plan to re-open schools as safely as possible.
A School District Backto-School Task Force, which was recently formed, collected online surveys from parents to better help steer the path of the plan.

Second Harvest Food Bank awarded $425,000 for hunger relief

Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida has received a $425,000 grant from Lockheed Martin that will be used to purchase food for distribution.
This equates to more than eight tractor-trailers’ worth of food to families in need.

Man wanted for Osceola homicide arrested in Puerto Rico

A wanted for a May shooting death in Osceola County was arrested in Puerto Rico on Wednesday.
Edwin Samuel Colon-Vazquez, 30, has been charged with homicide.
According to a Sheriff’s Office report, on May 10, at 4:36 a.m.
