The Kissimmee Utility Authority has appointed Tiffany Henderson as the utility’s director of Corporate Communications.

According to a KUA press release, she brings more than a decade of experience in communications, public relations and media relations planning, execution and strategy to the position.

Henderson will report to KUA President and General Manager Brian Horton and will oversee and manage all aspects of external and internal communications, strategic communications, media relations, crisis communications, social media, community relations and special events.

Prior to joining KUA, Henderson served as the lead public information officer for the Lake County Board of County Commissioners. Her television journalism career has spanned more than 10 years, most recently reporting at the local fox affiliate WOFL/FOX35 where she developed strong ties to the Central Florida community.

“I’m pleased to add such an experienced communications specialist to our leadership team,” said Horton. “Tiffany’s expertise will help the organization continue the good work that it has already accomplished, and she will play an integral role in enhancing the utility’s presence and positive impact in our community.”

Henderson holds a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and a bachelor’s degree in communications and Spanish from the University of Michigan.
