Next man up: Watson leads Osceola to victory

Jakyri Watson knew Osceola (2-1) was short-handed due to injuries to two starters. He set the tone immediately as he returned the opening kickoff 95 yards with a spectacular running effort in the Kowboys 46-6 road victory over Winter Haven (2-1) on Friday night.

Gateway gets defensive over Cypress Creek, 36-0

It will go down as a night of firsts for Gateway football. The Panthers notched their first win of the season, scored their first offensive touchdowns of the season, and put an opponent on a running clock for the first time since 2022 as they manhandled Cypress Creek, 36-0.

Second quarter of separation — St. Cloud rolls to 3-0

St. Cloud scored three times in five minutes of game clock in the second quarter to romp to a big lead it'd keep Friday and defeat Poinciana, 41-12.The Bulldogs are now 3-0 for the first time since 2019 heading into the annual rivalry game with Osceola, who moved to 2-1 Friday. St.

Lake Mary second-half rally dooms Kowboys

In a rematch of two state runner-up football teams, the Lake Mary Rams used two second half scores to record a 17-12 come-from-behind win to spoil Osceola’s home opener.The Rams (2-0) fell behind 12-0, but outscored the Kowboys (1-1) 17-0 in the final 29 minutes of the game.

Run it, throw it, defend it -- Harmony wins it big, 55-20, at Poinciana

Harmony started and fast Friday, earning its first win of the season in 55-20 breakout fashion over Poinciana at Eagle Field. The Longhorns (1-1) took advantage of good fortunes and Eagles (1-1) miscues and rode a 27-0 lead 16 minutes into the game.
