This just in ... the Magic scored again.

The Osceola Magic started a six-game home stand in scorching fashion, rewriting its own record books in a 153-130 win Thursday at the Silver Spurs Arena.

Osceola (5-3) set NBA G League franchise records for points scored in a half and points in a game. The Magic took an 86-60 lead at the half and cruised to the win. The 86 was the most ever in a half; the record was 78 set against the Texas Legends on Nov. 1, 2022 when the team played in Lakeland.

The 153 points broke the previous game-scoring record of 143, which was set less than two months ago (Nov. 22, 2023 against Rio Grande). The Magic got there by shooting an impressive 56.6% from the field and 45.2% (19-of-42) from three-point range. Osceola led 122-92 after the third quarter and kept the scoring barrage up in the fourth.

Seven Magic players reached double-digit scoring, led by Jett Howard's 32 points that included six three-pointers. Guards Mac McClung (24 points, 14 assists) netted a double-double, only eclipsed by the triple double of Trevelin Queen (13 points, 13 rebounds, 10 assists), who returned to Osceola after a stint getting minutes with the Orlando Magic. Fellow Two-Way player Kevon Harris added 18 points, center D.J. Wilson had 28 points and 10 rebounds, and Daeqwon Plowden (15) and Alex Morales (16) chipped in big points off the bench.

“Tonight shows how special we can be when the ball is moving,” Wilson said. “No one is looking for themselves on this team. When we saw the box score at halftime, we were surprised. We always have the next-up mentality. We know we can be the best team in the G League when it's all said and done. We lost a few guys on the team at the beginning of the season; we just needed to adjust to the changes.”

McClung expressed joy in being back in the Spurs' after nearly a month.

“This team is overloaded with talent; there are a lot of great scorers, so I have to make sure everyone gets fed where they want. There's something lucky in this building.”

Osceola out-rebounded Westchester, 53-41. The Knicks were led by former UCF player Brandon Goodwin's 28 points.

The home stand continues Monday when the Magic host the Cleveland Charge at 7 p.m. for Youth Basketball Night.
