KISSIMMEE NEWS — Get creative with Kissimmee — teen crafts, line dancing and aerobics

Get creative and have fun at Teen Craft Club at Oak Street Park Community Center (717 Palm Ave.) for a free monthly craft program where teens can explore their creativity, learn new skills, and create fun, trendy crafts. Supplies are included. Teen Craft Club meets on the first Wednesday of every month from 2–3 p.m. and is open to ages 13 and up.

If moving, sweating and smiling is more your speed, come out to Cordonation World: Line Dancing and Aerobics. This fun and energetic adult class is held every Wednesday from 6–8 p.m. at Chambers Park Community Center and is open to adults ages 18 and up. It  combines line dancing and aerobic workouts to keep you moving while learning new steps and enjoying a great workout. Barktoberfest is Oct. 10 will be a splash-tastic day with your furry friends. Join in the fun at Bob Makinson Aquatic Center from 1-4 p.m. for a special dog swimming event that gives your pup the chance to cool off, splash around, and enjoy a fun day at the pool! Owners are required to provide proof of current rabies vaccination or shot records. All dogs will undergo an aggression check before entering the aquatic center. Dogs displaying signs of aggression may be turned away. Owners are welcome to accompany their dogs but will not be permitted to swim and may only enter the water up to knee depth. Keep kids active and having fun during Thanksgiving Break. Turkey Camp offers games, crafts, sports, group activities, and field trips for kids while school is out. Camp Discovery is for children through 5th grade (must be 5 years old) at Oak Street Park Community Center, with field trips to AMF Bowling and Crayola Experience, while Teen Extreme is for youth in 6th–8th grade and will be held at Chambers Park Community Center, with field trips to Astro Skate and Fun Spot.
