Las tareas de mantenimiento del jardín, como cortar el césped, podar y rastrillar, contribuyen a la belleza salud de su jardín, pero también generan desechos o basura. Mantenga la mayor cantidad de estos materiales en el jardin para conservar los nutrientes y limitar la energía necesaria para transportarlo. La materia orgánica en descomposición devuelve nutrientes al suelo en una forma que las plantas pueden utilizar de manera eficiente. El uso de desechos de jardín para compostaje es un método sostenible de producción de fertilizantes orgánicos.

Landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, pruning, and raking contribute to the health of your landscape but also generate yard waste. Keep as much of this material on-site as possible to conserve nutrients and limit the energy needed to transport it. Decomposing organic matter returns nutrients to the soil in a form that plants may efficiently utilize. Using yard waste for composting is a sustainable method of producing organic fertilizer.
