The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office has identified the shooter and victim of a Poinciana shooting that involved neighbors.

Raymond Gabriel Ventura, 34, has been arrested and charged with premeditated murder and other firearms charges in the April 2 shooting death of Connell Oliver Adman.

The OCSO homicide unit responded to the scene that day in the area of Birmingham Drive and Monterrey Road for a shooting incident, where police say Adman was shot multiple times in the road and was later declared deceased at the hospital. Ventura was arrested that day and originally charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and held on no bond.

Three days later, the Medical Examiner’s Office officially ruled Adman’s manner of death a homicide caused by multiple gunshot wounds.

Monday, Sheriff’s deputies obtained the arrest warrant for Ventura that included murder charges and served him while still in jail.

Adman made an initial court appearance last week, where he was remanded to jail. Court records show Adman was found not guilty of a felony battery and false imprisonment charge in a 2014 case.
