VETERAN'S VOICE: Vietnam Memorial coming in March, and more

The Wall That Heals is coming to Kissimmee March 13-16, 2025.

This ¾-sized exact replica of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington D.C. will be set up at the Kissimmee Gateway Airport. The exhibit, consisting of the 375-foot replica Wall and learning center, is operated by the same foundation responsible for the actual Vietnam Memorial Wall in D.C.

Complying with the foundation’s requirements will be a challenge to the Central Florida veterans community, and those of us in Osceola County are expected to “walk point.” Dozens of volunteers will be needed each day, especially with set up and teardown on the first and last days. An overall Volunteer Leader position is open, along with positions for Promotional Outreach, Education Coordinator and In Memory & Ceremony. If interested in helping, please contact Keith Di Natale at 2ndVicePost10@gmail.com.

VA changing login requirements

Seems like every time I try to log in to an account online these days, there is a flood of requirements to resent passwords to something more complicated than Air Force ICBM codes, and then text message authentication, and finally entering the current coordinates of the International Space Station at time of login. Not to be left out, the VA is now getting into the change act. If you used a DNS login, that was phased out at the end of November. MyHealthVet logins will phase out on Jan. 31st. The options going forward are Login. gov or ID.me. More information at https://bit.ly/4fiuarY
