Due to a water main break, Toho Water Authority has advised it will issue a precautionary boil water advisory for customers in the Indian Ridge and Indian Ridge Villas communities, near Old Lake Wilson Road and Sand Hill Road, south of the Mystic Dunes Golf Club on the west side of the county.

The precautionary boil water advisory will be in effect until lifted by Toho, a release issued after 7 p.m. Tuesday night said.

According to Toho Water, all tap water should be boiled prior to consumption (drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes) as a precautionary measure.  A vigorous boil for one minute is adequate to render water bacteriologically safe for drinking.

As an alternative, bottled water can be used.
