As the Three Kings were traveling to Bethlehem, they made a brief stop in Osceola County last month at their castle (Medieval Times) to help them make the formal announcement of the celebration of the Three Kings Day Festival in Osceola County, which will be Sunday, Jan. 10, at Old Town, starting at 10 a.m.
The Three Kings will be represented by elected officials. They are St. Cloud Mayor Nathan Blackwell, Kissimmee City Commissioner Jim Fisher and Osceola County School Board Member Julius Melendez (not pictured).
Three Kings Day, or “El Día de los Reyes”, is a holiday celebrated around the world by different cultures as a way to remember the three Wise Men as they brought their gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh to the baby Jesus.
The Three Kings brought an early present to one of Central Florida’s community service agencies. On behalf of the Hispanic Business Council of Osceola, the Three Kings brought two $5,000 scholarship donations to the Hispanic Heritage Scholarship Fund of Metro Orlando, for a total of $10,000.
Celebrating its 16th year, Three Kings Day in Osceola promises to be a day of joy and happiness for many kids and families in these difficult times.
